Mikaela Breanna!!

My baby girl started preschool today!!! It was a very hard decision , I always said I would never send my children to either daycare or preschool. She has been begging for the longest time to go to "her school bell". I know, too cute! It all came down to her needing more attention and out of the car. I drive Frankie to therapy in Grapevine on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 45 minutes there and 45 minutes back. Its not fun for an almost 3 year old to be stuck in the car all day!

Mikaela is a very very very smart girl, I think this program is going to be good for her! She goes on Tuesdays and Thursday from 9am - 2pm, its a Mothers Day out program at a Methodist Church. She has been so pumped up about going, she did get a little nervous on the way to school this morning though. I stayed with her for just a few minutes then when it was time for us to leave she cried for about a minute. We stood outside the door to make sure she was ok and she was! She started coloring and was fine. We will see what her teachers say when we pick her up. I'm betting she did great!! She has never been left with anyone but family before so this is very different for her. But, shes Mikaela. Mikaela is a trooper!

I've lost alot of sleep over this day but it turned out well! Not one tear shed here :) I know she will do just fine, its a wonderful program with wonderful teachers! Also, there are only 8 other kids in her class, this is wonderful!!!

The in class pictures didn't turn out too well :( The camera was on the wrong setting!!

Wondering why she was woke up so early this morning!

Multi-tasking, taking a bath and eating breakfast at the same time!

Ready for school!!

Are we there yet??

First day of school!!

What a big girl my Kaela is! I know she will have a great time and I am sure this will be a great experience for her. :}

We did the same thing for Lukas: put him in preschool during the summer during Natalie's therapy sessions. Now he's having swim lessons during one session, and we got to the library during another session. I agree it's important to give the typical child something fun to do!
